Default OT Ping Tom TABS

I discovered a very nice use of "tabs." With IE7 if you click the middle
mouse button (wheel) on a link, it opens that link in a new tab. I use
excite.com as my home page.. customized as I like. Now, when I open it, I
scroll down at the various news articles, and simply click the wheel on any
link that may interest me. I might end up with 8 or 9 tabs when I'm done,
leaving the original page intact. Then I click a tab, read the article, then
"x" out of it to close the tab, which opens the next one.

I found that it's easier and faster than left clicking a link, reading the
article, then clicking back to go to the original page. I also have a huge
"hosts" file that blocks almost every advertising block these sites put up.
The result of that is it might take 2 or 3 "back" clicks to get back to the
original page. This use of tabs is faster, and I don't have to see any ads.

Just a couple of cents.
