Carlyle is a semi man-made lake, that is fed by the Kaskaskia river
that was dammed up in the early 50's., and the lake is shallow in some places, but not bad, that is IF you know where to go. Basicly though, it's either full, or fuller. I hope they get my riprap installed before it is full again :-) Capt Jack R.. Lake Murray here in SC is finally back up to near full pool. It's been down for over two years as they reinforced the dam. I was out last Saturday, and we've got our lake back! |
