I currently have a decent size boat for lakes and such, my next two year plan
is to buy a 52+ ft sailboat/motorized. I want to be able to cross Atlantic/Pacific Oceans. If any recommends any good schools in the US is highly appreciated. Because I know cars and my small boat what should I look out for when purchasing the sailboat/yacht. I deal in Real Estate and Finance, I know how to inspect a house but not a boat. I want to make sure I am not stuck in the middle of the ocean with a lemon. After searching a bit and now reside in the U.S. I am surprised to find a decent yacht being sold in Greece where I lived for few years back. http://www.yachtworld.com/core/listi...=melitasmarine & 105 FT! for that, is it because it's wood and not fiber glass, These are some of the things I do not know, wood vs fiberglass, maintenance and such, maybe I should treat a yacht like an airplane situation.. every time you take it for a ride it has to be maintenance on and repairs or preventive repairs. Thank you... |
