Indeed they do. Before you go completely incoherent, tell us why anyone
should "give a rat's ass" what you think.

If I express an opinion, everybody is free to give whatever portion of
a rat, (or not), that they deem appropriate.

Part of the risk of expressing an opinion is drawing ridicule from
persons who disagree with the opinion. Comes with the territory.

Among anybody's brighter adversaries are those who evaluate an opinion
based on its individual merits and will take specific issue with the
opinion itself. Well down from the varsity level adversaries are the
middle-school mentalities which avoid discussing the substance of the
opinion expressed and move to personal attacks instead. A short period
of observation makes it rather obvious which particular camp any
person's particular detractors
happen to fall into.
