really isn't interested in any kind of discussion, they are looking for
a way to start a flame fest. Forget about if rec.boats is really the
correct forum for a political discussion and if I would enjoy a nice
political discussion every now and then. I might think the current
administration is a bunch of low life scum, but I know I could never
have a political discussion in rec.boats. You and I have been reading
rec.boats long enough to realize rec.boats has NEVER had an intelligent
political discussion. It very quickly becomes a venue to call others
"assholes", scumbags, etc. The person who started this thread has stated
numerous times, he has no desire to discuss boating in rec.boats, he
finds the topics boring and repetitive. He has also stated he doesn't
believe the right wing scum who pollute this NG are worth anything more
than a one line insult.

History has shown us that inflammatory political discussion in
rec.boats, and the name calling will quickly spread into EVERY on topic
thread in rec.boats.

Since this is a non moderated NG, if the majority really want rec.boats
to become a rec.political.flamefest, that is what it will become. I may
not agree with Chuck's style when he highlights OT political posts, but
I do agree that political posts and discussion does eliminate any hope
of this being a friendly group to have any kind of discussion.
