Hillary and Obama - both of whom suffer from some percieved "electability
issues". It will be interesting to watch.

If I express an opinion, everybody is free to give whatever portion of
a rat, (or not), that they deem appropriate.

Part of the risk of expressing an opinion is drawing ridicule from
persons who disagree with the opinion. Comes with the territory.

Among anybody's brighter adversaries are those who evaluate an opinion
based on its individual merits and will take specific issue with the
opinion itself. Well down from the varsity level adversaries are the
middle-school mentalities which avoid discussing the substance of the
opinion expressed and move to personal attacks instead. A short period
of observation makes it rather obvious which particular camp any
person's particular detractors
happen to fall into.

Please feel free to withold your rat's ass in response to any of my
opinions. :-)

McCain may get hurt if Bush goes for more troops in Iraq as expected. If it
doesn't change anything ... and I personally don't think it will ... McCain
will lose credibility having been advocating a further buildup.

A good USMC friend of the family visited us for 2 days after Christmas.
He returned from a tour in Iraq just last month.

His opinion on what is going on over there - Disorganization amongst
and poor leadership of the troops, no lasting results, Iraqis love you
one day and hate you the next.........time to get out as we will never
change things.

I have been on the fence regarding this war lately and he pushed me
over..........I also now agree it is time to leave and let them sort it
out themselves.

You mistake seriously and completely not giving a flying fig about your
personal regard for me one way or the other as a "smarmy" attitude.
Understandable.

A short period of observation is all it takes to separate the people
with the ability to challenge an opinion on an intellectual level from
those who are left with no recourse except personal attack. If I
bothered to observe you, I wonder what I'd discover?
