not only be illegal under California criminal statutes, but also under

area that is commonly referred to as the box. This area is where we put

watercraft to hold, that are grossly delinquent in fees. This area is
not, however, a salvage area. We hold the watercraft in this area until

either payments have been satisfied, or liens are in place. In the
worst case, if liens are intact, we dispose of the boats in a legal
manner. This usually involves selling either at auction, or to licensed

I'm having a problem with my reading comprehension this morning. In the
above cites I cannot find the part about where the dumping of boats is
legal. I did find something about illegal.

Please point to the "legal" sentence.

Go to the thread that I got those from. It went on for months. Calif
Bill said it was legal and common practice for Pillar Point Marina to
run abandoned boats aground and let the salvagers have at them.

At there salvage yard. But alas, my statement stands. YOU said that the
delta was littered with abandoned boats and that they are everywhere.
Why would the Mythbusters have to advertise for one if, like you have
said, they are everywhere, and that salvagers can just go take what
they want??
