The surrounding neighbors pour into the Planning Commision meetings whining about how they use 'X' piece of land for picnics etc, and how we should not be allowed to develop it. They never want to buy it, even when offered. They just want to continue to leach off of others. Why am I not surprised that donny is of the same ilk? I get offers from developers all the time and the first question I ask them is how much open space they plan and how do they plan to allow others to use it. Which is your right as the owner to set deed restrictions etc. I've never had a satisfactory answer to that - ever - from a developer. Because a developer needs to make a certain yield on property in order to turn a profit. From my perspective, developers need to take into account the users of the land, not just the owners. Only if the users are paying for that use, via taxes, user fees. etc |
