For 'old guys' like us, especially if space is a consideration, great.
On the other hand, the $5K CDN I spent on equipment would have bought me
about 10 years membership in a local gym.. a 10 minute walk south.

I've never been interested in this kind of exercise, although I need it.
When working I joined a gym a couple of times but rarely went. You have to
make it a daily thing, I think.

Our house was briefly owned by a former pro hockey player (so he said - I
had never heard of him) who bought it about half-way through construction
and did some redesigning. Part of the basement was finished as a 1200 sq.ft
gym, complete with a sauna room, commercial weight sets, treadmill and even
full length wall mirrors so you can admire yourself while working out. He
didn't live here long and when we bought the house all the equipment went
with the deal. Since then, we added a spa, as well.

In the six years we've owned it, I've used the sauna once (just to see if it
worked) and occasionally we use the spa during the winter if I am not too
lazy to get it running. The exercise stuff just sat there.

So, finally it is getting some use.

*I used to go three times a week. Your muscles need recovery time.*

*What was his name? He may have been in the minor pro leagues.*

I've forgotten. I know he was from New Jersey.
