Mine's a 911/996 Twin Turbo. The 911/996 GT3 is the same car but minus some of the sound deadening and other non-essentials to reduce weight even further. It didn't look or sound like the 911 driver was actually trying that much... did you notice how he easily was able to carry too much speed through the corners, and had to back off a few times? Didn't downshift enough, and just pulled a higher gear than was appropriate coming out of the corners? His job was to shoot the video, not to race. In any case, awesome bus! |

However, because a majority of Porsche drivers are enthusiasts, a far greater percentage of them are better drivers than your typical Honda driver. Exceptions do exist. |

The feedback through the steering wheel is amazing; the brakes are unbelievable. The local PCA club is a bunch of really nice people, and they do an excellent job of running driver education events at a coupe of local tracks. If you've never had yours on the track you owe it to yourself to give it a try. You can't explore the car's potential on the street... the track is the only place to do it responsibly. |
