The formula for draft is minimum lake depth offshore -1 foot Jim "etol" wrote in message oups.com... How do you determine the maximum size of a sailboat for a lake? Our lake is 19.6 miles in length, max depth is 183' and max width is 1.9miles. |

I think the person who made the formula was making it tongue in cheek. I can't figure out why one would think you would need 300' for every foot of boat length. |
