The dumbass mechanic at our old marina not only put in the wrong temp thermostat but used the wrong type of spark plugs when he tuned up the engine last summer. I will most likely bring the boat in for winterization in the next 2 weeks. However, if the weather holds out I would like to do some perch fishing one last time so I may hold off on the engine/outdrive winterization until late October. So how about you? ;-) North? No offense, but you guys down there around 41.5N or so don't know anything at all about "north." Try 47.6N, thank you, and we rough tough hombres here abouts will be boating at least a little bit each month all winter! Pulling out, indeed. :-) Glad to see you survived from your whirlwind tour and hope you had a great time. To the subject at hand........ I don't own an ice breaker, nor do many boaters up here. But even if the water was free of ice I would not enjoy taking the boat out in temperatures below 50 degrees. We have often wanted to fly over to Middle Bass Island on Lake Erie during the winter to drop into a favorite pub of ours for a perch dinner with their famous brandy alexanders.........maybe this winter. ;-) |
