When are you pulling out?

We are now on trailer after repairs were made to our engine by the mechanic
at our new marina. The dumbass mechanic at our old marina not only put in
the wrong temp thermostat but used the wrong type of spark plugs when he
tuned up the engine last summer. I will most likely bring the boat in for
winterization in the next 2 weeks. However, if the weather holds out I
would like to do some perch fishing one last time so I may hold off on the
engine/outdrive winterization until late October.

So how about you? ;-)

Didn't get out as much as usual during September on my pwc, but was
back in the saddle yesterday with a great autumn run, a friend of mine
both on our Yamaha 4-stroke cruisers, did about 150 miles round-trip
from Jones Beach Inlet to Croton Point north of the Tappan Zee Bridge,
beautiful weather, temps in the high 60's and bright blue sunny skies
all day, and surprisingly gentle conditions on the ocean and the Hudson
RIver. Anticipating about three or four rides of decreasing length
through Oct. and into about half of November (the last one or two in my
dry suit over several layers of warm clothes) before shutting it down,
usually just before my annual one-week family vacation around that
holiday.
