Don't be so cheap. Go to www.usenetserver.com and buy 3 days of
unlimited downloads for $3 to try it out. Is that cheap enough? Then,
buy 3 months of unlimited downloads...really unlimited, 10 simultaneous
ports, 24/7, as fast as you gots bandwidth to support, for $39. Your ISP
may be a problem blocking port 119, but UNS has that covered, too,
because you can logon to their many OTHER ports to get around ISP
blocking.

Luckily, Knology Cable (thanks guys!) includes DIRECT FIBER ACCESS to the
Usenetserver beast in Atlanta. I'm 9 milliseconds from God's Main
Server...(c; This message is being typed into my 4th port. 3 others are
downloading like mad as I type.....

"Unused bandwidth is WASTED bandwidth".....right?

Best Buy has 25 DVD+R on a spindle this week for $5 a spindle. I already
cleaned out the store here....(c;

Someday the corporations and bureaucrats are going to turn all this off.
I'm already ready for that day, having more to listen to and watch than I
could in the rest of my lifetime. It will be a real shame if you're
not.... Internet is well on its way to being like TV...another
corporation billboard-in-your-living-room...they control.

Pity....I no longer even look at webpages because of it.

Hmm...Rochester...is WHEN-TV still on the air? That was the only TV
channel we could get at the lake house with a 60' antenna!

I'm not being cheap. Rather, I often look for music that's quite obscure,
and I usually need it NOW, for various reasons. No time to post a request in
a newsgroup and hope someone lights up and offers the music 4 days later.
