Default Kenwood kdc-35mr marine radio question

Bought a Kenwood KDC-35MR marine radio from Ebay. There is an extra
port on the back that I can't figure out what it is. I've downloaded
the manual and the picture does not show this port. On the back of the
radio, right side, there are two RCA imputs and the 16 pin connector.
On the left side there is the CD changer port the antenna port and a
third water tight connector. THis water tight connector is nowhere to
be found in any of the manuals I've found anyone have an idea what this
is for. I can email a pic if anyone can help..Thanks

Common connector on marine radios you have not listed is one for a
remote control panel. Could it be for that? It's probably described
in the remote control installation manual, not the radio manual.

Just a quess .... is the radio Sirius or XM ready? The connector wire looks
like a coax type. Maybe it is where you connect the sat antenna.

I think jamesgangnc is probably correct. There is a remote listed for that
radio.

It could very well be the remote port.....I'll just have to wait and
see what happens when I get the 16pin in and get this thing hooked
up...Thanks for the help

Just another guess but the rca jacks you mentioned are probably preamp
out, not inputs. It didn't come with the wiring harness? That would
be annoying :-)

It's not our fault I wished I lived in Texas. Autumn in Paris would be nice
but stupidity is contagious when you buy Citgo gas and pay Chavez.

Why is it stupid to buy gas from Citgo? You do realize, don't you, that
they were the first and the most generous at trying to help the U.S.
when our oil reserves tanked post Katrina, aren't you?
So, you support boycotting a company who tried harder than anyone to
help the U.S. Because the president of a country that owns the oil had
some harsh words for Bush? Will you also boycott Iranian oil, Saudi
oil, Iraqi oil, and imports from almost every country in the world?
Let's see, we still have Great Britain on our side, at least until
Bush's poodle Blair is out.
