Here's something you might not otherwise think to consider: http://www.twinvee.net/Default.aspx?tabid=75 Although the freeboard appears a bit short for my particular preference. Another good but unusual choice might be: http://www.glacierbaycats.com/lineup_2260cr.html Since you don't need overnight amenities, the Glacier Bay does provide the one thing you (and more especially your wife) would want in a cuddy- in a fully enclosed compartment for privacy. Bass, You and JimH should just filter each other, you both are guilty of cluttering up the NG with the exact same statements over and over again. It appears you enjoy the fights just as much as he does. |

![]() "Chuck Gould" wrote in message oups.com... Harry's right. Post #4 in this thread is you taking a shot at JimH. Based on sequence, that would be "the source". Thank you for illustrating my long-standing position so clearly. The problem with personal fights (typically beginning in OT political posts) is that they tend to leak into the on-topic discussions. Harry's right, nobody much cares about how you and JimH might feel about each other. The purpose of the NG is to discuss boats, not sustain some bleak and dismal soap opera. If either one of them would simply ignore the other it would stop. They fuel off of each other, each having to have the last say. I've got a couple of young grandchildren that argue in a similar way. Eisboch If my kids ever stooped as low as JimH and started telling lies about other people, making wild allegations, say mean spirited things about someone's family, etc. they would be punished. I hope to hell JimH hasn't instilled his horrible low life standards on his kids. |

Anchoring and moving about on the boat will also be easier, especially for her. I now have all winter to start selling her on the idea! What are some dependable brands in the walk around market? I'll tell you one that I have been extremely impressed with since they first started making them - Polar. http://tinyurl.com/f3qxr Their whole fleet of boats is extremely well made and cleverly appointed. When I first ran into these, I was in the market for my Fisharound and almost pulled the trigger on a 23' Polar instead - at the time they weren't making the 27'. I had the opportunity to test drive one up in Gloucester, MA at a dealer who had one the color I wanted (white with blue accents) and he let me take it on a trailer around town to see how it towed - I was impressed. The only reason I didn't buy it was because it came pre-rigged with Merc Sal****er 115's and I didn't want them. To purchase the boat sans motors was a problem and while we were working out the details, the Contender came up and that was that. You might also want to take a look at their 21 center console. It's amazing how much room the step down head has on that boat. Grady's are Grady's - well made, good sound boats with lots to recommend them. Priced like it too. Prolines - eh, I'm not all that impressed with them. I think they are built with a very light laminate and while that can be positive in some ways, I don't feel they are as stable as other brands - meaning that they tend to move around a lot in all kinds of seas. I also don't think their layout is efficient and their interiors are cramped - put more than one person in the boat and you have a problem even with the larger boats. As to Chuck and his Cats - I wouldn't buy one on a bet. There is a guy at my marina who has a 23' World and in a beam sea off Newport, fuggetaboutit. Head and following seas, can't beat 'em. Just my opinion you understand. Yep. The 2300 walk around looks like an option to consider. Thanks! |

Check out Robalo and Seaswirl/Striper for some solid upper-mid-tier boats.
I'm partial to Grady's and Whaler's though. " JimH" not telling you @ pffftt.com wrote in message . .. This boat of ours is not a fishing boat. Parker. 25' Pilothouse. Private electric head. Dependable outboard with NO I/O problems. Huge cockpit. Stove. Sink. Slightly used. I know you have a nice boat Harry but I don't want a boat with an enclosed pilot house. We also have no use for a stove or a sink. Thanks for thinking of me though. Dec. 5 2005 JimH said: Merry Christmas Harry. Yep! Oh, how cute, the resident low life now must resort to cutting the text that HE SAID. Typical of slime like you. Why don't you give it a rest? You sound like a child yet you have posted "Grow up" more than all others combined. Harry isn't your mother or the principal. Take a deep breath, Google your posts and if you still think your participation here isn't adversarial, then look some more. |
