![]() "Dirk" wrote in message om... I have a center console with a 305 chevy inboard 4 barrel carb. The engine starts and runs perfectly - but - when it fully warms up and I slowly troll for an hour or so it stalls and won't start until it cools - sounds like vapor lock but the copper supply line that runs over the engine is at best warm to the touch..The air intake to the compartment is from two forward scoops attached to 4 inch hose - that is it. No intakes on the center console itself.. Any thoughts? More air intake? It doesn't take much to create vapor lock - does it happen at higher speeds than trolling? If not, then it probably is vapor lock. Use an octane booster if it is. Later, Tom |
