Hiya,
Im a boating noob, boat a speedboat less than a week ago went out in it yesterday and when I got home I was flushing it as advised by the seller what he told was though to make sure the prop was submerged, I made sure this was the case he didnt tell me that in fact the water intake holes need to be covered, it now starts and runs for about 30 secs before spluttering to a halt he seems to think the impeller will be burnt out, could someone please advise how and where it is please and how to remove it, Ive got some pdf files about these motors but it dosent really help with the removeal of the impeller, I really no nothing about engines and the like but are prepared to take anything to bits (I didnt know what a car was or did a week ago or what points where LOL), so Im going through a steap learing curve here. The engine I believe is from the early 70s. Cheers Pete |
