Default Local lighthouse need some new doors and windows?

This message is sort of spammy..........
But........

If you know of some historic lighthouse that would benefit from new
doors and windows this company is searching for another opportunity to
help fix up one of these landmarks (in exchange for some publicity and
a tax write-off, of course). :-)

MEDIA ADVISORY

SHINE A SPOTLIGHT ON LIGHTHOUSES
Celebrate National Lighthouse Day on Aug. 7 and nominate a lighthouse
to receive new windows and doors from JELD-WEN

Umpqua River Lighthouse located on Oregon's southern coastline. For a
high res image contact

WHAT:
According to the National Lighthouse Preservation Society, historic and
beloved lighthouses across the United States have fallen into a state
of disrepair due to a lack of public funding to maintain them. It's up
to private industry to join forces with citizens, government and
nonprofit organizations to preserve treasured public places - or risk
losing them forever.

JELD-WEN, the world's leading manufacturer of reliable windows and
doors, is spearheading the effort to bring new life to these historic
treasures through the JELD-WEN® Reliable Lighthouse Restoration
Initiative.

JELD-WEN is seeking nominations for America's next reliable lighthouse
to receive a donation of new, architecturally compatible windows and
doors.

Last year, JELD-WEN replaced the windows and the entry door in the
Umpqua River Lighthouse
http://www.jeld-wen.com/lighthouse/l...fore_after.pdf on the
southern Oregon coast. Now the company is searching for the next
lighthouse to help.

National Lighthouse Day is Aug. 7 - a perfect time to call attention
to the plight of the nation's lighthouses and the opportunity to help
save them.

WHEN:

Time is running out. The deadline to nominate local lighthouses for
support is Sept. 15, 2006.

Interviews and personal stories about this major lighthouse restoration
initiative are available before National Lighthouse Day, Aug. 7.

HOW:
The nomination form and more details can be found at
www.jeld-wen.com/lighthouse.

For more information, please call Christy Caplan or Jenna Cooper, CMD
on behalf of
JELD-WEN, 503-274-7006 or

I'll try to pass your message to these people. A couple of years ago
there was concern about the condition of Sambro lighthouse just outside
the mouth of Halifax Harbour.
