The problem with Darwinism is that it will only prove effective as a
means for improving human intelligence if it is allowed to work without intervention........ :-) Office of Public Affairs U.S. Coast Guard Thirteenth District Press Release Date: June 16, 2006 Contact: PA3 Jeff Pollinger 206-220-7237 COAST GUARD RESCUES MAN STRANDED BY HIGH TIDE (,,,,,,,DUH!) SEATTLE - A man trapped on rocks by an incoming tide is safe after being rescued Thursday evening near Abby Island, Wash. The Coast Guard received a call from a park ranger reporting that a man was stranded on the rocks at the Olympic National Park at 6 p.m. An HH-65 Dolphin helicopter from Coast Guard Air Station Port Angeles, Wash., was launched to assist the man. The man was safely hoisted off the rocks at 6:30 p.m. and transfered to park rangers on the beach. The Coast Guard reminds beachgoers that incoming tides can isolate rocks from headlands and the shore. People should not climb on rocks and cliffs as they are extremely dangerous. Individuals should also be aware of local tide and weather conditions before heading to the beach. For a free educational beach safety video outlining dangers on Pacific Northwest beaches, contact the Coast Guard at (206) 220-7237. ### View this document online U.S. Coast Guard - 13th District 13th District Public Information Site Visit this link to unsubscribe: http://www.piersystem.com/go/unsubscribe/21/ |
