My nephew runs one..mostly on fresh water but occasionaly on salt.
I'm thinking that if you used it in salt, it wouldn't hurt to take it
for a short spin in fresh water afterwards to cleanse it.
I'd be more concerned which engines you gave. His twin Rotax engines
needed expensive work right after he bought it and luckily there was
some kind of warranty to cover it.
