Default Pitfalls to using a seadoo jet boat in sea

I wouldnt consider those boats ocean boats at all.

Very flat bottomed boats, if you hit any kind of chop
you'll be hitting the hard vs cutting through them.
The do have some V to it but not much.

I have seem them used in the back bays here and
there. Never really hear any complaints. But what others
have posted here about running them in salt water
should be a concern.

One thing I like about those jet drives is that they can
go into really shallow water without too much of a problem.
Take the same with a prop and an outdrive you have
have some fun overheating.

Hi all,

Fairly new lurker here.
I'm looking to buy a used Seadoo Sportster jetboat.
Use will be 50-50 lake and sea.
Is there much risk using in the sea apart from drawing in debri,
and if flushed after each use will salt harm anything much by virtue of
being sal****er?
thx
