Been around forever. ;-) http://www.stp.com/rd.html When was the first time you used it? I can't honestly remember when I first started using STP - still use it in fact. If I had to venture a guess, it probably was somewhere around 1959 or thereabouts when I learned how to drive on a 1/4 mile dirt track in Franklin WI built around an old junkyard. Old Hudson Hornet of all things - used to drive it around that track full tilt. Learned a lot about engines, tires and transmissions when I was 13, I'll tell you what. One of the best commercials ever made was Andy Granatelli and the sumo wrestler trying to hold onto the STP coated screwdriver. Richard Petty once said that he and his racing family owed their fortunes to Andy and I believe it. The whole Andretti family too. Scientifically Treated Petroleum - STP. An American success story. I worked with Andy's nephew in the 1980's and heard some pretty amazing stories (all positive) about Andy. Hehe!! Yeah, sure...... |
