Thanks about the message regarding the cross posting, I don't have a clue
how that happened.

Anyway, replaced the fuel filter -- same symptom. Boat seems to run fine
and all of a sudden will stall. Trying to pump the throttle, doesn't help.
Another symptom that may be related; when starting the engine -- it cranks
fine. Immediatley after the engine starts, the motor will race and then die
down, it may do this 1, 2 or 3 times before settling in on a normal idle.
There also seems to be excessive oil when the engine is going through this
up and down rev. It only last for 5 -15 seconds.

I'm going to check the fuel pressure. Any other suggestions?

How are most of these gas tanks vented?

I may have to bite the bullet and take it to a dealer, but there is a 3
week wait before it can be looked at. Figured I might as well try the
simple stuff.
