Default About beer....

I'm not a beer drinker, and really never have been. Oh, theres been a
couple times in my life that I've twisted a top, and a couple times
that a top has twisted me. But for the most part, I think beer smells
like what it is. rotten grain.

now, I'm sure that there's many people that post and lurk on this board
that do like the suds, And if you like the suds, I'm not preaching
against your favorite thurst quencher.

I DID a bit of snooping around though, and found this thread
hillarious.

I thought some of you could appreciate it and it might revive some of
your own thoughts of personal taste's and experiences as well.

Enjoy!

thanks! I consider myself kind of a beer snob. I love GOOD beer, not
the mass produced swill that a lot of people call beer. I even dabble
in brewing.

Do you ever go by Summits Wayside Taverns? It is the best place for
good quality draft beer.

http://www.classiccitybrew.com/summits05.html

Beer aficionados appreciate the food but come to Summits for the
amazing selection of malt beverages. On a typical day you'll likely
find a staggering array of draft beers - 114 at Sandy Springs, 166 at
Snellville, and 224 at Cumming. Andy insists that his draft beers are
better maintained than most because of his use of nitrogen gas mixed
with the standard carbon dioxide. "Nitrogen is more expensive than
CO2 but it does a much better job at preserving kegged beer," he says

Absolutely. I know the owner, Andy. The Wayside Tavern used to be one
of the Taco Macs. I take him a few bottles of homebrew for his opinion.
Each has a wall about 40 feet long with nothing but draft spigots, then
behind the counter he usually has a few kegs of cask conditioned pump
brews. He takes frequent trips to Europe to find beers, and if he comes
across something exceptional but not able to get enough to sell at
quantity, he holds for he and his friends!!!

I was one of the first people to get on Andy's Passport Program.
Unfortunately, I had to cut back on alcohol due to a conflict with a
med I am taking. I now share one beer with my wife and that is my
limit.

Enough just to wet the whistle.

Is that the proverbial "one beer" which is really a six pack!

You don't need the better perserving if you go through the keg fast enough
:-)

When you have 200 bears on tap, you need the perserving.
