Normally use Grass and Ghost Shrimp for Sturgeon here in SF Bay area. Use an 8wt with Bill Adelman tied shad flies. The 8 wt because the local stripers have a habit of hitting the same flies at times. |

Since you use a shooting head to a mono running line (I use Amnesia), you need the fly down on the bottom. Flip the line out a ways and work it out along the seam. |
