50 yamaha
i bought a 50 yamaha 4 stroke last year used 2000 when i first got it
it ran great recently though i start having a problem with it idling rough and stalling when i engaged into foward and when thottling up on it,it will either hesitate, stall or coming down out of full thottle it will run very rough in worse case it will stall completly and after i start it again some times the idle seemed too high, and at other times the idle will seem too low. after happening the first time i put in a can of sea foam fuel conditioner and the problem went away, but on my last outing at first the motor ran great but when i was coming to were i have my lift ,i thottle back on the gas( i was coming in at full speed) then it started running rough and it stalled on me twice before getting it on my lift.i tinkered with for awhile when i had it on the lift and it seem to run better but not like before;Question is should i maybe wait to see if this problem straights it's self out with the carb cleaner or does this sound like something that should be looked at now and has anybody seen this issue before? and could this be a idler jet on the carb thats fouled up ? |
