for a 1960's Johnson 20hp, was there a particular colour for the original
coils? In mine I saw a dark blue one, and a light green one. The light green had today's kind of wire insulation on it, while the dark blue one seemed to have the older type of insulation - almost looks like a fabric or whatever (you know what I mean - the older stuff).. The replacement coil I put in was a newer light green although not identical to the older light green. I suspect that the dark blue was well worn as she seems to run good now that I replaced it along with the points and condenser. Anyone had this experience here? |
