Default Neon Lighting On Board - Have a Question

Thinking of installing some neon mood lighting on board........any
information regarding current draw or interference with electronics which
would say don't do it?

Could always go to LED's but I haven't found any that would give the same
glow as a neon......

DJ,

Was there someting wrong with the opinions you read on
rec.boats.electronics?

Consensus there was that it's a bad idea, eh?

What do gangstas and pubescent rich kids install under their cars for that
purple glow? Maybe that's an option.

For simplification, I suggest you use a 12V portable black light and put the
following discs in the CD changer:

Iron Butterfly, In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida
Jimi Hendrix, Are You Experienced?
Cream, Disraeli Gears
The Electric Prunes, I Had Too Much To Dream (Last Night)
Jefferson Airplane, Surrealistic Pillow
Pink Floyd, A Saucerful of Secrets
The Beatles, Magical Mystery Tour

Posters and incense are optional, but add to the effect.

What about a strobe light and a bright white shirt in case he wants to
dance along to the music.
His marina neighbours might like it.

That requires different music choices:
Soundtrack from Saturday Night Fever
Gloria Gaynor "I Will Survive"
Donna Summer "Love to Love Ya, Baby"
Santa Esmeralda "Please Don't Let me Be Misunderstood"
Bony M "Rasputan" (or anything by Bony M, really)
or any of that music from the mid-seventies tha I have tried to expunge
from my brain
