Default Opinions please - considering buying '96 Trophy

Interested in opinions on whether this is a good deal.

1996 25' Trophy walkaround. Twin Merc 150 sal****er o/b's w/ 300 hours,
hardtop with new canvas enclosure, gps, fishfinder, vhf radio, enclosed head
w/ marine toilet. Everything works (salt water pump, bilge pump, etc.).

$20K

Any advice on things to look for? I like the boat a lot. The wide beam (9'
6") makes for a very roomy cabin. My only dislike is the fuel consumption
on the twin 2-cycles (12 gph at 25 mph cruise). Repowering the boat is not
practical.

Thanks in advance.

I think Trophys (Bayliners) are great boats if you want to sit in the
harbor and drink martinis, but take one out offshore. No way!. They use
to much inexpensive plywood and do not seal it right. The transoms are
always rotting out to quickly.
