Default Yamha 300 HPDI Problems

Yesterday, went to take the family for cruise, the 2004 Yahama 300 HPDI
was giving me some fits. It started fine, idled a little rough, appeared
to warm up normally, then any time I tried to give it more throttle than
simply idle speed, the engine would cut out and shut off. No warning
horns or signals, just shut itself down. I had pumped the bulb, and
everything appeared normal. Checked the gas filters and and oil levels
in both the VRO and engine mounted reservoir were within acceptable
operating levels.

The boat had not been used much in the past couple of months.

Was curious to know if I can get some assistance with some preliminary
diagnosis. The mechanic has been called, got on his schedule, but he is
two weeks aways from getting here.

thanx to all in advance...
