My wife, who is much younger than I am, is *very* employable and can earn well in almost any country. I like Costa Rica a lot. I know somebody who said screw it, packed up and moved to Costa Rica. He had a boat for years in Scituate, MA then suddenly sold it, sold his house and moved. I met and talked to him once since the move. He was back to take care of some business issues. He said he was building a house in Costa Rica, had purchased part ownership in a large sports fishing yacht and overall was enjoying the move. He did say that the cost of living and construction was much higher than he anticipated. Haven't heard from him now in a couple of years. RCE I have a couple of friends, one retired and one not, who moved there in the last 10 years, and another planning to move there within the next five years. It's stable politically, and its economy is growing. From what I've heard, politically it's a mini USA. RCE |
