My standard of living is not dependent upon a job, Jim. My wife, who is
much younger than I am, is *very* employable and can earn well in almost
any country. I like Costa Rica a lot.

I know somebody who said screw it, packed up and moved to Costa Rica. He
had a boat for years in Scituate, MA then suddenly sold it, sold his house
and moved.

I met and talked to him once since the move. He was back to take care of
some business issues. He said he was building a house in Costa Rica, had
purchased part ownership in a large sports fishing yacht and overall was
enjoying the move. He did say that the cost of living and construction was
much higher than he anticipated.

Haven't heard from him now in a couple of years.
