Default Ping: California Trailer Boaters

I received my license plate for my trailer. There aren't any month and year
tags with it like we get for our cars and trucks. Does the boat trailer
need tags on the plate or just the plate? I sure don't want to deal with
the DMV to get new tags!

Perhaps you paid for permanent tags? In Virginia, permanent tags are pretty
cheap ($52), and it's easy to forget you paid a few extra bucks.

They are "Permanent" trailer plates. But in 5 years, you have to pony up
the money again. Still the 20 bucks for 5 years sures beats what I was
paying. Only in California is permanent == 5 years.

If I lived in a state about to wash away, I'd consider 5 years fairly
'permanent'!

Well, yeah, it's wet again. Still we're not on day 27 of rain. You know,
we flooded during our heavy 10 day stretch of rain storms, but I'm not
hearing flood reports for the PNW. ?

Yep,

They got riots, fires, and mud slides,
They've got sushi in the mall,
Water bars, brontosaurs, and Chinese modern lust.
Shake and bake life with the quake;
The secret's in the crust!

And

Have a very fruitful day .

Gene, are you pokin' fun at California?
I had a neighbor, as far back as the 60's that kept his boat fueled and
stocked, ready to go, because he was worried California was going to break
off and sink. I wonder if he still does that 40 years later.

My guess would be less accumulation and better drainage.
