Canada and Russia have just completed the first period of the championship game...and what a period. Football is exciting on TV. I know. Have been to a few hockey games. First hockey game I ever saw live was a preliminary game at the 1960 Winter Olympics with the USA team. But is not a TV sport. Have to admit...the old NHL (pre lockout) and AHL games could be a bit tiresome with the defensive style of play. When you get to the elete world level... nothing's better. I find basketball a bore and probably wouldn't go to a game if you offered me tickets and I was standing next to the arena. ...don't even talk of football..when we had the CFL exhibition game here in the fall, we were more interested in the cheerleaders. Cheer leaders can be a great reason for going to any game. |
