Default round access hole? 16' McKee

My 16' McKee has a round looking cover of some type in the bow just in
front of the storage areas. Not sure how to open it, I'm afraid just
to pull on it for fear of tearing something up. I'm not quite sure
what it's there for. About a 6-8" diameter.

Round covers often screw in. Does it have two indentations that might be
finger holes for the purpose of turning it?
