I know of none who say that. -- John Herring They're the ones with the biggest mouths, John. And, the ones who are so eager to "share" their way of life with people who didn't ask for that "favor". And you have a quote, somewhere, of one of these 'big mouths' saying those who don't believe in his 'religion' are going to some horrible fate? If so, I doubt if he speaks for the majority of Christians. Are there extremists? Sure, just like there are extremist Muslims and Democrats. -- John Herring Two acquaintances whose minds were polluted by the same church in Kentucky. One from Chicago. And, an entire family of eight from here. All talk about Armegeddon as if it is real, and well deserved by non-believers. Buddhist? Too bad. Jew? Oh well. Are those acquaintances 'Big Time Christians'? I know some of the Christian denominations are believers in the 'Armageddon' (a final battle between the forces of good and evil), but I've not heard any state that 'non-believers' are going to some horrible fate thereafter. I suspect that some people have the good taste to either not believe it, or not discuss it if they do. The concept of Armageddon, given the amount of nuclear weapons existent, doesn't seem so far fetched. There may be disagreement over who the good and bad guys are. The way things are shaping up, it may be extremist Muslims versus everyone else. Nostradamus wrote something about the last big war beginning in the Middle East, begun by an enormous fire sent by a bear from the north. Hmmm...maybe the Russians will finally get fed up with their Muslim problems, and anyone even remotely connected with those problems. |

But they should at least assimilate to our customs if they want to live in a country whose laws and customs are based on Judeo-Christian principles. If you were required to address that statement toward people of specific religions, which would those be? No specific religion. But I'd primarily address it towards the group of folks who work so diligently to change the Pledge of Allegiance, change the words on our currency, and see that the words "Merry Christmas" aren't spoken out of the mouths of retailers at Christmas time. The Pledge was not written with the words "under god" in it. The words "in god we trust" do not belong on our currency. I don't care if retailers use jesus to sell refrigerators. Neither do I. They use tits to sell cars (at least the ones that have nothing else going for them). |

I would not call that a lesser degree and you should not either. Jim C. |

Harry has stated that a number of times.

JimC,
I was not talking about those who were the victims of mass murder, I was talking about those who are guilty of mass murder. The Jews do not have the long illustrious history of committing mass murder and/or genocide that many other ethnic groups do. "Jim Carter" wrote in message .. . When we were in Egypt, I insisted my daughter (who was eleven at the time) wear clothes that at least came to her knees when we were out in public. She protested before we left, but was glad I had insisted afterward.........after witnessing several incidents where fully veiled muslim women surrounded a woman wearing "hot pants" or a low cut blouse and screamed and harassed them till they left. |

Harry,
I can see why you do not allow your posts to be archived, it is way too easy to find the inconsistencies in your stories. "Harry Krause" wrote in message ... I was born in Connecticut, my mother was born in Massachusetts and my father was born in Pennsylvania. I was reared in Connecticut. If you want to call me a "Yankee," or a "Yankee-American," that would be appropriate. One member of my family has some ancestors who arrived on these shores from Great Britain, Ireland, and Germany in the 1700s and 1800s, while other ancestors were already here - they were Native Americans, as it were. And since the Native Americans supposed came across the Bering Straits, why that makes that relative of Russian heritage, I suppose. There's no doubt about Smithers' heritage, of course. He's purebred Assho*e American. -- 20 January 2009: The End of an Error. |
