The reality is, Christmas itself is a canard, a holiday
that only by convention is celebrated on the 25th of December. The date
itself has nothing to do with the man now called Jesus. What you are
celebrating is a holiday created from whole cloth by Constantine the Great
in the fourth century. He picked the same date as an existing pagan
festival.

Jesus, a pious Jewish man, probably would have disdained the holiday named
for him via a name that was not his.
