If the current strategy continues, there will be no countries left in
the Middle East that are capable of launching an attack against the
United States...nor willing to employ terrorists as mercenaries in
launching a clandestine war against the United States.

Fight them now, so that we don't have to fight them later.

What about the home-grown ones in England, Europe, the U.S. and
Southeast Asia?

They're incapable of sustaining their anti-Western actions without the
help of the terror training, hatred, and money that is exported from
the Middle East.

That's silly.

No, really...it's not.

It's hard to maintain a movement, when the fundamental pillars of that
movement begin to crumble. Those Islamic fundamentalist hate groups
thrive on the despair and hopelessness that thrives in the Middle East.
Providing Muslims a taste of democracy and the fruits of capitalism
provides them hope...a hope that will displace the hatred that comes from
despair.

Y'all let me know when that happens, ya heah?

Are you fleeing to Cana-duh?

Let's see....capitalism.....Iraq wasn't a communist country. It had a
healthy small business environment, just like here. So, that factor can come
right off the blackboard. Democracy: It's beginning to look like it doesn't
really matter who is elected there, as you would see if you weren't getting
all your news from Highlights for Children.

What you right wing lemmings fail to understand is that the Middle
Eastern people are different from us. They live by different
principles, plain and simple. They don't WANT to be like us.

Didn't you just post this Kevin?

"Jim, I thought that as the reverend, you deemed it not acceptable to
denigrate and belittle others. Why is it okay for you, and the others
in your right wing circle jerk club to do so, but then you turn around
and chastise others?"

My, my, my.

I guess that all of those satellite dishes on their homes mean that they are
closed minded and only want to hear what the cleric's have to say?

Probably more of them than you care to know. Admitting this would mean
having to face the fact that our foreign policy is based on fluff. Just like
Vietnam.

Kevin is now an expert on foreign relations? I wonder where he will
claim to have gotten that degree?

You think his statement is incorrect? Why?

Harry,
I do have to ask, what is your purpose of cut and pasting the news articles
you place in rec.boats?

What is your purpose for posting in rec.boats?

Remember that prior to presuming office, Bush was totally ignorant of and
uninvolved in any sort of foreign policy. During that first campaign for
POTUS, it was revealed that Bush had to that point been to only one
foreign country in his lifetime. Mexico. And probably to get drunk and
laid.

I'll bet my "Bush Quiz" would still work. I'll bet if you put Bush in
front of an outline map (no details, no place names) of the Middle and
Near East, he could not point out Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, or Syria.

Hell, he probably couldn't name the 50 states off an outline map. Or
recite the list of states from memory, as *every* kid in my sixth grade
class could do.
