Monday December 05, 2005--Forty-eight percent (48%) of American adults
approve of the way George W. Bush is performing his role as President. That's the President's highest rating since October 8. http://www.rasmussenreports.com/Bush_Job_Approval.htm |

Yep, the real ones were held in November 2000 and 2004. ;-) |

I already listed the reasons in another post last week: "People care about the stock market hitting a 4 1/2 year high, the low unemployment rate, the increased spending on big-ticket manufactured goods, the dropping fuel prices, and the improving consumer confidence numbers." Things like Joe Lieberman's op-ed piece in the WSJ are just icing on the cake. ;-) |

Christmas is coming. Hmmm. Christmas=improvement in Bush's approval rating? No wonder the liberals are trying to do away with the phrase "Merry Christmas". It's a political move! |

Did consumer retail spending not increase by 22% over the Thanksgiving weekend? Did spending on big-ticket manufactured goods not increase over last year? Did gas prices not fall by nearly 20% in the last 5 weeks? Did Lieberman not just write a piece in the WSJ about the improving conditions in Iraq? I'm curious as to what is making you ROFL? |

I left one thing off: Support from Bush's base returned after Miers withdrew and Alito was nominated. |
