By the time you replace the transmission in the Chyrsler five times you are
even with the Toyota, this is all within the first three years.

I bought a 1995 Plymouth Voyager mini-van new in March 1995.
I've put 125000 km on it since and I've only had two things done in the
10.5 years I've had it.
Early on there was an acknowledged problem with some small part that let
the vehicle roll forward when you were backing out of a forward sloping
area (my driveway). That was fixed for free by an adjustment...with a
promise to replace a part if problem continued...it didn't.
When I started planning to travel, pickup & trailer back a sailboat
within 80% of the vehicle's max towing capacity, I decided to install a
transmission cooler.
That's it...except for a few transmission fluid changes.
I have the 3 speed auto, which was more reliable than the 4 speed in
that model year.
