jps already reported this.

It's from Jason Leopold...the guy whose reputation was trashed after he
fabricated a story posted on Salon.com.

Don't you read any decent news articles?

Ms. Ralston is being discussed quite a bit in the real world, fella. After
all, she was Jack Abramoff's executive assistant at Preston Gates and
Ellis and later at the Greenberg Traurig law and lobbying firm, where she
served as the assistant director of governmental affairs. Ms. Ralston
assists Mr. Rove in overseeing the strategic planning, political affairs,
public liaison, and intergovernmental affairs efforts of the White House.

Sounds potentially very juicy.

Hope so.

So, did you make your Global Crossing money on the backs of the union
brotherhood?

Harry conviniently turned a blind eye to this story

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...112801683.html

The reporter for Time magazine who recently agreed to testify in the CIA
leak case is central to White House senior adviser Karl Rove's effort to
fend off an indictment in the two-year-old investigation, according to two
people familiar with the situation.
Viveca Novak, who has written intermittently about the leak case for Time,
has been asked to provide sworn testimony to Special Counsel Patrick J.
Fitzgerald in the next few weeks after Rove attorney Robert Luskin told
Fitzgerald about a conversation he had with her, the two sources said.

Harry, has a very bad habit of only "reprinting" parts of the article and
then editing other parts that will support his political view.

I don't believe that Harry ever made any money off of Global Crossing it is
just another in the long line of stories to puff up his self impression.

Sorry, but the timeline just doesn't work.

According to Leopold "Rove instructed her (Ralston) not to log a
phone call Rove had with Cooper about Plame in July 2003."

Woodward already testified that he spoke with a government official ("not
Rove") in mid-June. Why would Rove cover-up a conversation about Plame that
he had with Cooper, if it was already common knowledge among the press corp
(as Andrea Mitchell admitted to in Oct. 2003...and later recanted) in
mid-June? It simply makes no sense.

Do you have any reason to doubt Woodward when he says that Plame's name was
mentioned very casually as an off-hand comment from someone other than Rove
or Libby?

That would be dependent on the charges. Rove could be facing the same
charges as Libby. That would make the timeline irrelevant.

No, but believing Woodward doesn't mean Rove or Libby have clear sailing.
It also doesn't mean either one, or both, are not the leak. You overlook
there could be multiple leaks, a conspiracy to leak, or just one leak
that has yet to be charged. I'd also point out that Cheney has not been
cleared. The investigation continues.

Rove, you betcha. He has a history of very dirty tricks. Trashing anyone
who doesn't walk the line. Damn straight, I'd love to see him in wide
stripes. Libby? I've nothing against him. I almost feel sorry for him.
He seems like he was being a good soldier, nothing more. But, and this is
important, I'm more than willing to let the law run it's course. If it
was broken, we have a justice system that is built just for this purpose.

As for Plame being "covert", you are probably right that she doesn't meet
the IIPA's definition, and, to my knowledge, Fitzgerald hasn't claimed she
did. However, her status was classified, and leaking classified
information is a crime.

This Grand Jury isn't going anywhere either - ham sandwich or not. They've
got nothing and Woodward just blew the Libby charges up and there's
nothing more to "get".

Woodward's testimony doesn't change anything. Not the charges against
Libby, not Rove's status, nothing. It's just more information that was
made public.

Oh, and the Abramhoff (sp?) thing you were so hip on? Turns out he was in
the Democrats pockets too. Wonder where that one is going?

And that makes a difference? If they're dirty, hang 'em. I don't get it.
We complain about corruption in government. Yet, when someone is caught
with their hand in the cookie jar, we should look the other way, because
we agree with their politics? Not me, if their dirty, hang 'em. And
personally, I'd hang 'em higher if I agreed with their politics. It's
a matter of trust and it brings shame on my side of the aisle.

Really - it ain't gonna happen. I know you want it to, I know you hope it
does - it ain't gonna happen.

Maybe, maybe not, but Fitzgerald is still investigating and the fat lady
still hasn't sung. I think there is more to come.
