What is your definition of a real job? Is working as a clerk at
Casual Corner a *real* job Harry, or is a *real* job sweeping the
floor at a GM plant and earning $60,000/year for doing so?
As long as they are paying union dues it is a real job in Harry's mind.

If it pays enough for an adult to support himself/herself and family, and
provides health benefits, et cetera, then it is a real job. If not, it is
a McJob. It is still real work, of course, but it is exploitive of
whomever holds it.

Real jobs pay real wages and provide real fringe benefits.
