Cap'n Yellowstains...?

Wow, that would have been good if you were say.............10 years
old.

So what's your fastest CPU at home, yellowstains? Already posted
mine.

I can tell you anything and you could not prove me wrong. That is
why I suggested the test at PC Pitstop and then posting the test
score. I would then see if any of the machines in my house could
beat it.

You have yet to post your score, so what is your point Krause?

Told you. You wanted the test, and you did not indicate which page,
specifically, you wanted to see. As soon as you tell me, I'll find it.
Until then, the ball is in your court.

You saw that number on the page I did post. Your number ain't higher.

Whatever you say Harry. I am tired of trying to explain it to you.
Actually, you never have. My guess is either you cannot, or you already
know you don't have a computer box sitting around the house faster than
my desktop.

Coward.

If giving up trying to explain something to an idiot is being a coward,
then I guess I am a coward.

You want me to run a multi-page test, which I have done, and post the
results, which I am willing to do, and when I ask you which page you want,
you won't tell me?

You're either a liar or a coward. Or both.

Harry, there is a button or link on the summary page that says something
like "show me my score" after the test is run. You will then get a
numerical score based on your test results. All I have been asking you to
do for the past 24 hours is to post that number.

Got it? Good because I will not explain it to you again.

Harry,
Maybe he just doesn't play the game by your rules.

Why don't you show him a picture of your Lobster Boat and shut him up.

Jim, didn't you very recently just chastise Don White for insults and
name calling?

In the meantime, have you figured out how to post your test number yet?
It
was set up so even a 7 year old can do it.

As suspected. Wasn't you the one just a little while ago dissing Don
White for "insults"?

"Wasn't you the one..."?

Dem der sum funnee stuf now Kevin.

BTW: Tell us again about that senior executive job you had when you were
25
and making $205,000/year (2005 USD).

Never heard of anybody making good money before?

Hee-hee.

Typical answer for you. Are you drooling also?

JimH,
I hate to tell you this, but you can run the test, save the page, and then
edit the page using MS Word.

I ran the test, and edited the score so my test score read 90000000.

Since you are editing the field, the font remains the same, and the page
looks exactly like it does on the web page.

If I know this, do you really think a "professional writer" doesn't? Do you
really think Harry would provide you with an accurate copy of his score?

First I've heard of that button from you.
My score was 1779. I saved the page as an *.rtf, and I have to figure out
how to convert that to a *.jpg.

I believe you. That is a very high score and it beats the computers in this
house, the newest one being 2 years old. If I recall the highest score I
got was in the 1500's.

You have a fast computer Harry.

It is good to run tests every so often over at PC Pitstop and take the
advice on how to tweak your computer to its maximum speed.

I converted the *.rtf to a *.jpg. Here's the URL:

The motherboard is an ASUS P5WD2 Premium. running the 955X chipset.
I installed an Intel retail P4 775 CPU, running at 3.4, a gig of
high-speed ram, and one really FAST 10,000 rpm hard drive, with a slightly
slower drive for "storage."

Since I don't run games much, I bought an ordinary ATI video card.

I could have built a significantly faster Intel-based box, but I had no
reason to do so. For the kind of work I do, mostly text-based, the hangup
is not the CPU, the memory, or the video. It typically is the hard drive.

I've stuck with ASUS motherboards over the years. I like them. I'm sure
there are faster, but what I need most is rock steady in my desktop.

My previous ASUS has built-in SCSI drive support, but the new SATA hard
drives seem a bit faster than SCSI.

Cheers.

Nice set up. ASUS makes a nice motherboard, as does Abit.

If you are into overclocking the DFI Lan Party motherboard with an AMD
Athlon 64 X2 4800+1 ghz FSB socket 939 dual core processor kicks ass,
especially when provided with a nice chunk of DDR400 memory. My next
machine will have that setup.
