Bought a Sceptre at Costco. $269. 19" 12ms response time and 1000 contrast. Very nice monitor. As my sife says, I can now read from across the room. Nice monitor Bill. My daughter is looking for and LCD and I will let her know about this one. BTW: There are $30 and $70 rebates on this monitor at tigerdirect.com. They are selling it for $199. I'm still using a really nice Mitsubishi Diamond Pro glass tube. I keep looking at the LCD monitors at Micropro and CompUSA and BestBuy, but no matter the price point, I can't find one that looks better than what I have. I do like the idea of reclaiming desk space, though. Just last week Iswitched to Dell computers in all of my operatories with the Dell 19" Ultrasharp 1905FP Digital Flat Panel monitors. I can tell you that by looking at the digital x-rays on the new monitors vs. the CRT's that they replaced, there's no comparison. The new monitor shows so much more detail than the CRT's. I'm beginning to find incipient carious lesions that didn't show up well on the CRT's. They're cavities that are very tiny and not at the point of requiring any treatment yet...but at least I can spot them now to keep a watch on them for the future. |
