Default Bush off the wagon?

While waiting my turn in the supermarket checkout, I couldn't help
noticing the latest "ish" of Globe Magazine, which is featuring a story
claiming Presidummy Bush is "off the wagon" *again*, and drinking heavily.

Naturally, I didn't buy the Globe, and I can't find a decent website for
the rag, but...

Sometimes the stories these pubs carry are true, and sometimes they are
not. The gist of the story is that his failing policies and his tumbling
polls have made Presidummy irritable and nervous, and he's drinking again
for "comfort."

I, of course, never thought he quit drinking, but...

Did the magazine also report on finding human life on Mars?

Oh, it verified that years ago.

I sent a few emails around to reporters i know regarding the Globe story.
It would be interesting, if true.

That's not a Globe scoop. The National Enquirer ran a similar story a
couple of months back.

You know, if Bush hadn't admitted to having a drinking problem years ago,
this wouldn't be an issue. Few of our Presidents were teetotalers, and
some drank to excess. Rumors abound about Nixon's last days in office.
I'm no Bush sympathizer, but if his problem is recurring, I wish him the
best getting back under control. Politics be damned.

The interesting thing is that when Bush said he had a drinking problem, he
never did what he was supposed to do, and admit he was an alcoholic, he
didn't get therapy, and he apparently did not connect with a support
group, such as AA. Instead, he found Jesus or some such nonsense.

That may be what you are "supposed to do", but whatever keeps you sober
works. Have you noticed how stress ages a President? Carter is probably
the most obvious example. He went in youthful with a bounce to his step.
Four years later, he was old, gray, and wrinkled. I didn't notice much
aging on Bush his first four years, but look at him now. It's very
clearly starting to show. I don't like the SOB, but I do hope we are
talking rumors with no basis in fact.
