Default Boat hire near Orlando FL

I will be in Orlando next week for a tradeshow with a few collegues and
a day to kill. I am looking for somewhere that hires sailboats for
the day - preference would be Hobie Cats, Laser4000 or something about
30 feet with a keel. Any recommendations for anyone hiring this sort
of thing within about an hour and a half drive from Orlando very much
appreciated.

With those constraints you need to be searching the Tampa/St Pete and the
Jacksonville areas. Both will be pushing your 1 1/2 hour drive limit. I
would not expect to find any rentals in the Daytona area which the the
"close" beach for Orlando but you could try.

There's rentals everywhere on the beaches. Cape Canaveral and Cocoa
Beach, Melbourne aren't very far at all.
