Ground hominy. They come from corn. They're great with butter, salt, and lots of
pepper and egg yolk on top. Actually, I like to get the eggs sunny side up and
just put them on the grits and mix it all up. Yummy on the tummy.

Never eat them cold! Yech!

Not to be taken as an insult to anyone but I doubt I'll ever eat it again
hot or cold.

Crushed corn, basically.


Ground, dried Hominy corn. I actually like grits with lots of butter and
pepper. Hominy is corn that is soaked in lye to remove the husk and then
they look like popcorn. Hominy itself is nasty, but grits are a great
delivery system for butter and pepper. Served with biscuits and sausage.
