It's precisely the towing limit of my truck. Being a Toyota, it's probably a
conservative number, but still....I don't want to mess up a 10 year

Original 350 motor, tranny, rear end. Interior and body all original.
Everything works,it drives and rides great, and it still looks good.
At 16 years old, it's worth more than that Toy.

Besides, it'll snatch that puny-assed Toyota all over the place.

That's right. I have the 2005 Toyota trucks sales brocures right here
in my hands. The 4 cyl 2 wd Tacoma has the 3500 towing capacity. Go to
a 6 cyl and it bumps up to 5000.
Not enough?.... try the 4 wd optional pkg which jumps to 6500 lbs.
Still not enough for the macho crowd?...get a Tundra with a V8 that tops
out at 7300 lbs. i wouldn't trust any of you towing more than that.

And try to tow that 5000# up a hill with that wimpy 6 cylinder. You will
make it, in low gear and a crawl. There is lots to be said for Toyotas, but
trying to pull 5000# with a small motor is not what you want to do. Short
life, and poor performance. My Expedition with a 5.4L 4x4 would tow my
4500# boat up steep grades, but it also suffered from performance in hte
mountains. My Duramax gets 20% better milage and does not slow down for
those big hills. Towing my daughters 2000 POS 4 dr Explorer home on a UHaul
trailer, and averaged 62 mph according to the trip computer, including the
Grapevine on I-5 and I do not think I ever towed over 70 coming home. 14.9
mpg also.
