Default 2 year old 2-cycle oil still good

I just found 2 gallons of 2-cycle oil for my Mariner outboard. It is about 2
year old.

If they are sealed bottles of TCW-3, sure it's OK. If the bottles are open
YMMV.

The bottle was opened.... Do you think the oil has lost its viscosity ? Does
oil go bad after time ?

If you keep the lid on it, it should be good for a long time.

It is old gasoline that we can have trouble with.

The only problem I can see with opened oil is possible contamination. As I said
YMMV

Oil does not lose its viscosity in storage unless it is contaminated. The
additive package may have settled a little, just shake the container before
you use it. Oil does not 'go bad' but the additive package can have
problems.

Never thought of that - learn something new everyday.
